Compensation: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour (Shift Diff: $1.50/hr Evening Differential)

A well-capitalized global plastics and chemical manufacturing operation in Ravenna, OH is adding an Industrial Electrical Technician to their evening maintenance team. This facility runs complex extrusion, mixing, and packaging processes and requires a hands-on technician who can maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems with minimal supervision. What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems on extrusion, mixing, and packaging equipment
  • Perform complex electrical work on circuits, wiring, sensors, drives, motors, control panels, and power distribution systems (110–480 VAC, 12–24V DC)
  • Diagnose and repair industrial control systems including temperature and cooling system controls
  • Install conduit, pull boxes, and hand holes using appropriate industrial tools and methods
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and circuit diagrams
  • Support electrical needs across labs, testing areas, IT infrastructure, and building systems
  • Log and track all work orders through the facility's CMMS platform
  • Install, inspect, and service AC/DC motors and drive systems
  • Maintain and repair lighting systems, switchboards, and electrical mechanisms
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols including LOTO, PPE, NFPA 70E, and confined space procedures
  • Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, and working at heights

What You'll Need

  • 3–5 years of verifiable experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, AC/DC drive systems, and industrial automation platforms
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety compliance standards
  • Ability to read color-coded wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Proficiency with hand/power tools, test meters, and diagnostic equipment
  • Experience using a CMMS for work order tracking
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal Electrician Apprenticeship or Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology preferred
  • Experience in compounding, extrusion, or chemical processing environments is a strong plus
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed
  • Physically capable of sustained floor work: standing, climbing, lifting, kneeling, and working at heights
