Brake Press Operator – 3rd Shift
Location: Cincinnati, OH (Pippin / Mt. Healthy Area)
Shift: 3rd Shift | Monday – Thursday | 7:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Schedule: 4 x 10s (3-Day Weekend)
Compensation: $20 – $25/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift Differential: 10% Premium for 3rd Shift
Structure: Full-Time | Direct Hire
About the Opportunity
A well-established Cincinnati-based metal fabrication manufacturer is seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Brake Press Operator to join their team. This is a long-term, direct-hire opportunity working a consistent four-day schedule with built-in overtime potential and a 3-day weekend every week.
This role is ideal for someone who can independently operate CNC brake press equipment, read prints confidently, and produce quality parts without constant supervision.
What You'll Do
- Operate CNC brake press equipment to form and bend metal parts to blueprint specifications
- Perform setup procedures on simple to moderately complex part runs
- Select proper tooling based on material type, thickness, bend radius, and geometry
- Generate and edit basic programs at the machine controller
- Make minor angle and dimensional adjustments as needed
- Inspect parts using calipers, gauges, squares, and templates
- Enter production quantities and inspection data into computer systems
- Perform machine operator preventative maintenance
- Follow all press brake SOPs and safety protocols
- Contribute to process improvement ideas and productivity initiatives
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of brake press operating experience required
- Strong blueprint and shop drawing interpretation skills
- Ability to read router packets and follow detailed instructions
- Proficiency with calipers, gauges, squares, and measurement tools
- Basic math skills (including dimensional calculations and angle corrections)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly
- Stand for full shift (10 hours)
- Bend, squat, twist, and move throughout shift
Work Environment
- Industrial manufacturing facility
- Exposure to moving equipment and mechanical components
- Hearing protection required in designated areas
