Ravenna, OH | Plastics Manufacturing / Industrial Compounding | Monday–Friday | Evening Shift (2nd or 3rd shift)
Compensation: $27.00 – $34.00/hr (Shift Diff: $1.50/hr Evening Differential)
Employment: Full-Time / Direct Hire

A globally backed plastics compounding manufacturer in Ravenna, OH is adding an experienced Maintenance Technician to its evening shift team. What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across the plant floor
- Maintain and support mixing and extrusion equipment central to the compounding operation
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation drawings
- Execute a wide range of mechanical repairs including conveyors, pumps, valves, and mechanical drives
- Perform and document all scheduled preventative maintenance and TPM activities
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
- Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout, permit-to-work, and OSHA/NFPA standards
- Provide on-call support for after-hours and weekend maintenance needs as scheduled
- Lead or support process improvement initiatives as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering Manager
- Consult Engineering on critical spare parts requirements for new or modified equipment
What You'll Need
- 3–5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of electrical/electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and work from multi-discipline technical drawings and schematics
- Demonstrated LOTO compliance and general OSHA/NFPA regulatory awareness
- Experience managing or coordinating with outside service vendors
- Comfort operating in physically demanding environments — heights, confined spaces, elevated platforms, and exterior conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Forklift/tow motor operation experience preferred
- HVAC troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, or construction trade experience a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
