Telemetry Nurse (RN) - DAYS (Travel Contract)

Location:  Jeffersonville, IN

Schedule:  36 hrs | 12-hr shifts | DAYS

Contract Duration:  13 weeks

Weekly Compensation (after taxes):  $2,000 - $2,200 USD

About the Opportunity

This Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will focus on safe effective patient and family centered care, customer satisfaction and quality outcomes. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit, promoting his/her own development with an emphasis on evidence based practice and education supported by a Practice Governance framework. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN has the responsibility to assess, develop, implement and evaluate the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comforts, education and satisfaction. The RN applies his/her educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care as indicated
  • Performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and re-assessments as per policy
  • Provides individualized, age-specific care that supports homeostatic regulation, hemodynamic monitoring and physiologic functioning. 4. Maintains accurate and continued nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessment of changes.
  • Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Maintains patient confidentiality. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and families. Functions as patient advocate

Required Qualifications 

  • Associates degree in nursing required, Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.
  • RN License, CPR, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG
  • 2 years ACUTE CARE RN inpatient experience, 5 years preferred
  • Previous travel experience
