Electrical Technician – Defense Manufacturing
Cincinnati, OH | Defense Manufacturing | Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Day Shift
Compensation: $20.00 – $24.00 / hour

About the Opportunity
A leading defense manufacturer with a long-standing record of delivering mission-critical systems to the U.S. military is adding an Electrical Technician to their production team in Cincinnati. What You'll Do
- Assemble electronic control panels, distribution panels, generator enclosures, and control devices using components including switches, relays, transformers, and wire harnesses
- Install electrical components such as terminal blocks, governor controllers, voltage regulators, circuit breakers, relay assemblies, current transformers, and fuse assemblies
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, engineering drawings, and wire lists — and proactively identify potential issues prior to installation
- Test electrical connections using ohmmeters and other electronic testing equipment to verify continuity, resistance, shorts, and grounds per wiring diagram specifications
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly, rework, and basic test and repair on electronic products and mechanical assemblies
- Complete panel installations including lights, receptacles, gauges, electronic instruments, legends, and instruction labels per engineering documentation
- Operate hand tools and small power tools in compliance with all quality and safety standards
What You'll Need
- Minimum 5 years of electrical systems experience; 7+ years strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to read and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings without supervision
- Experience with EMI connectors and cable building; knowledge of low-voltage wiring (24V AC/DC)
- Proficiency with phase coloring and wire gauge identification
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and small power tools
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or Vocational/Trade certification in electrical is a plus
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined under ITAR/EAR export control regulations (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or protected individual under the INA)
- Willingness to work overtime when operationally required
