Mechanical Assembler II (Defense Industry)

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Compensation: $19-$21 per hour depending on experience

Start Date: 03/02/2026


Overview

The Mechanical Assembler II is responsible for producing high-quality mechanical assemblies to prescribed standards, with a focus on precision, safety, and continuous improvement. This role supports production operations by executing advanced-level assembly functions while ensuring contractual specifications and delivery schedules are met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate assigned machinery within production.
  • Perform advanced mechanical assembly, prep, spray application, and inspection functions.
  • Install components to detailed contract specifications using hand and power tools.
  • Interpret blueprints, process flow instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Follow visual and written work instructions within defined production timelines.
  • Adhere strictly to quality and safety standards within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Support additional production projects as required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of manufacturing experience.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings preferred.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to wear required PPE in a production environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Experience working with hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
  • Prior experience in regulated or defense-related manufacturing environments.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
