About the Opportunity
Award winning Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Engineering Design firm, based in Columbus, OH is looking for a BIM (Building Information Modeling) / CAD Designer who will be responsible for drafting, designing, and modeling of projects involving new builds and renovations in higher education, healthcare, military, commercial, and industrial facilities. Qualified candidates will have a good working knowledge of both REVIT and AutoCAD and can take schematic drawings through construction documents. This candidate will be working with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineers on a daily basis. This person could have an architectural, structural, or MEP background.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files and models.
- Provide end-user training, support and leadership.
- Manage software products including but not limited to incorporating new version releases, maintaining legacy software, and customizing software for specific firm needs.
- Creation and maintenance of the software template files to assure standards.
- Conduct continuing education on BIM processes and its new technologies.
- Support project standards coordination with customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Engineering / CAD Design. Would also consider Architectural Degree with REVIT experience
- 2 years of REVIT drafting + design experience. MUST be able to put a set of drawings together and model
